The following email was sent to the People & Culture on September 16, 2025 concerning the lack of faculty consultations in TA appointments.
The prioritization of Graduate Students for TA and RA positions has been in our Memorandum of Agreement since at least 2010, and it has never precluded faculty consultation on the TAs assigned to their course(s). We expect that consultation to happen again for future appointments.
