21-23 October 2025 is Fair Employment Week!
What is Fair Employment Week?
OCADFA is a member of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) and every year we commemorate Fair Employment Week to raise awareness about precarious employment on campus and to improve the working conditions of contract academic staff.
How can I get involved?
[For our members and students] Look out for us on 21 to 23 October around 100 McCaul in the Foyer and the Great Hall (we’ll be carrying the OCADFA flag) and come say hi! You can ask us your questions and learn more about what we do, how we can help you, and where to get more information. We’ll bring candy!
Join us for photos with a sign calling for “FAIR EMPLOYMENT FOR SESSIONALS!” that we will share on social media to get the word out that much work is still to be done.
[For our members] Join us for the OCADFA Fall Membership Meeting on Tuesday, 21 October from 10am to noon.
This is a critical meeting to attend as our Negotiations Chair, Annie Tung, will present a proposed Bargaining Mandate for approval of the membership.
